Austin Ahlborn has been at Lincolnview Local Schools since 2019. As Director of Bands, Mr. Ahlborn directs the following ensembles: the Lincolnview High School Concert Band, Marching Lancer Band, Pep Band, Junior High Concert Band, 6th Grade Band, and 5th Grade Beginning Band. He also teaches a Junior High General Music class, a Music Theory class, and a high school beginning band and strings class.
Mr. Ahlborn grew up in West Chester, Ohio where he attended Lakota East High School and was actively involved in the marching, jazz, and concert band program throughout his time there. Mr. Ahlborn is a bassoonist and contrabassoonist who has performed as a member of the Ohio State University Wind Symphony and Symphony Orchestra, freelancing with the McConnell Arts Center Chamber Orchestra and the Westerville Symphony, and as an attendee at the International Music Master Courses in Cividale del Friuli, Italy. In addition, Mr. Ahlborn has also worked with marching bands and performed with pit orchestras in high schools across the state of Ohio.
